Paper Labyrinths 10-18
Yes I keep forgetting to post about these, but Brendan and I are still making Paper Labyrinths.
I won't write full summaries on nine episodes because that's a lot, but I'll shout out one or two little moments from each that I think are fun and worth listening for.
10 - nbsp1618 - the pseudonymous designer of Cross-Bronx Expressway and The Archivist's Dream, who I think is a very keen and thoughtful designer. We go deep on libraries.
11 - Meredith Gran - Perfect Tides: Station to Station was imminently releasing when this came out. We go into what it means to write a character that reads as autobiographical but really isn't.
12 - Chris Kindred - A while back Chris made an offhand post comparing deckbuilding to DJing, so we talk about that and other things.
13 - Holly Nielsen - Amberspire is releasing imminently when we record, and Holly wrote a lot for it, so we talk about that.
14 - Bria Davis - Community management is a beast! You're both at the rudder and the receiving end of a whole lot of people with diverging interests.
15 - Eve Golden-Woods - Eve had just won some Imirt awards for her work on The Creation of Wonder, and we talk about holy objects generally.
16 - Ian Williams - What makes a miniature game? What does it mean to engage in craft, in a literal sense?
17 - Alex Jaffe - Somewhat fresh off of 2XKO being put on ice, we talk about fighting games but also games that just put you against another player.
18 - Bruno Dias - A writer with a specialty in weird fiction, we end up going deep on the genre.
